Study Support for Asylum Seekers

Posted in: RTO

Our friends at Kensington Neighbourhood House are now offering funding for Asylum Seekers to use towards enrolment into the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an asylum seeker and have been referred from the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC)
  • Must meet all other criteria of the Skills First Program (government subsidy)
  • Must be eligible for a concession

If applicants meet the above criteria, Kensington Neighbourhood House have agreed to fund the concession rate for these applicants.

Asylum seekers wishing to enrol and receive funding must have a completed referral form from the ASRC prior to contacting Gowrie Victoria for enrolment, as the ASRC cannot provide referral forms retrospectively, because there are checks and balances that the ASRC must perform as part of their compliance regulations.

For further information, please visit the ASRC website.
