This quality area of the National Quality Standard focuses on safeguarding and promoting children’s health and safety.

Standard 2.1 – Each child’s health is promoted.

Standard 2.2 – Healthy eating and physical activity are embedded in the program for children.

Standard 2.3 – Each child is protected.

Get Up and Grow: Healthy Eating and Physical Activity for Early Childhood

KidsMatter
KidsMatter is a mental health and wellbeing initiative for children. KidsMatter Early Childhood works with early childhood education and care services to support the mental health and wellbeing of young children, their families and early childhood educators using a promotion, prevention and early intervention framework.

Protecting Children: Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations for the Early Childhood Sector
This online module has been developed by DET to provide you with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities for protecting the safety, health and wellbeing of children.
