CURRENT VACANCIES
We are currently recruiting for full and part-time, term time only Early Childhood Educators who will contribute to the implementation of a high-quality early learning program by demonstrating initiative, completing tasks with minimal supervision and role modelling professional practice reflective of Gowrie Victoria’s purpose, philosophy, and values.
In this role you’ll be supported by an experienced and close-knit team, and you’ll have the freedom to try new ideas in a small environment full of passionate and like-minded people.
About You
- A Cert III or Diploma qualification in ECEC or equivalent
- Knowledge of the NQF and approved learning frameworks
- 12 months work experience in early childhood (preferred) in implementing programs that are inclusive and respond to the interests, strengths and learning needs of individual children
- An ability to articulate your role as an Early Childhood Educator in line with the EYLF Belonging, Being and Becoming
- An ability to work effectively in a team and engage in critical reflection

About the role
We are currently recruiting for Casual Early Childhood Educators (Cert III or Diploma) to work at our Gowrie Victoria service in Seafarer Lane, Docklands (known as Gowrie @ The Harbour). The Harbour is a 150-place service operating nine rooms (6 weeks to 5 years) including two integrated kinder programs.

We are searching for a part time Kitchen Assistant at our Yarraville service to work with our Kitchen Supervisor supporting the day-to-day operations, planning the menu, meal preparation, ensuring dietary requirements are being met and allergies are managed. When the Kitchen Supervisor is not rostered you are required to work autonomously and will be responsible for all kitchen duties.
About You
You will have previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen catering for large groups of people and the demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. You will also have a nationally recognised qualification in cooking (desirable), a current Food Handling Certificate and a Working knowledge of the Victorian Food Act 1984.

Reporting to the Executive Manager – Commercial, our new Business Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that our IT systems and platforms are fit for purpose. You’ll partner with both internal and external stakeholders to lead and implement a broad range of IT initiatives as part of enabling the delivery of Gowrie Victoria’s strategy. You’ll have a key focus on delivering projects and outcomes, but will also manage relationships with our external IT vendors and oversee IT governance. Gowrie Victoria has six locations across Melbourne, so there is flexibility where you can be based. We also have hybrid working arrangements, so you can work from home for part of the week as well
About you
At Gowrie, we’re passionate about getting the right people onboard who will help us to grow and improve our organisation.
This role would suit an established IT Business Analyst with a proven background in project management and experience partnering with stakeholders to deliver a range of initiatives. You’ll also need to be comfortable working autonomously and owning and driving forward organisational-wide projects and initiatives to deliver key outcomes.

As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced educators, learn on the job, and earn while you learn. You will attend a Gowrie class in Melbourne one day a week to complete your Certificate III, and work at an early learning service close to home the other four days.
