Open Door – Docklands

This special Open Door session will focus on Intergenerational programs between Early Learning services and Aged Care services, and you’ll hear about the experiences of existing programs at our Carlton North, Clare Court and Broadmeadows services. You’ll learn about:
- things to consider when starting an Intergenerational program
- how to reach out to the community and connect with Aged Care services
- the amazing benefits of creating connections between generations.
Our Open Door sessions also give you the opportunity to explore our early learning centres with a guided tour and discussion about:
- innovative approaches to play spaces
- setting up sustainable, natural learning environments
- creating engaging indoor and outdoor areas.
Discover simple ways to enhance children’s participation, and be inspired with new ideas that you can implement in your day-to-day work with children!
This session is suitable for educators of all levels and photos are welcome.
Kelly has worked for over 10 years in the Early Childhood Sector, including the positions of Room Leader, Early Years Leader, Assistant Manager, and as an Adult Learning Facilitator with Gowrie Victoria. Kelly’s experience has given her a deep understanding of the theory and implementation of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, and the National Quality Framework. Kelly is a strong advocate for the inclusion of all children and ensuring their access to quality Early Childhood Education and Care, including vulnerable families and children, and where English is an additional language
