If you’re joining or returning to the Victorian early childhood sector, you can now apply for a place in a new coaching program to help support your transition.

Gowrie Victoria is offering a range of coaching packages, on behalf of the Victorian Department of Education, to existing early childhood teachers and educators who might be returning to the sector from extended leave, or from working in primary education, or those who might be joining the Victorian ECE workforce from interstate or overseas.

The program, which looks at the specific needs of the teacher or educator, includes both face-to-face and online coaching sessions, with a variety of individualised packages of 10, 15 or 20 hours.

Consultant Julie London is one of the team of coaches at Gowrie Victoria and says each coach is as diverse as the people and services they work with. “Each, however, is a highly experienced early childhood professional,” she says. “We get what’s happening for you… We understand what the current day-to-day complexities are, and we bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to help you achieve your goals.”

The coaching program is designed to complement induction and orientation at the individual’s own service and support them to reflect and feel connected as they join, or re-join the sector.

Gowrie Victoria will be holding two online information sessions for anyone interested in the program:

Wednesday 24 May | 4:00 – 5:00pm
Tuesday 30 May | 1:30 – 2:30pm

The sessions will include:
