Plan your 2017 professional learning!
Our Semester 2, 2017 Professional Learning Calendar has been released and sessions are now available to book online.
An exciting new addition to this year’s calendar is our six-part Leadership Series, that aims to support those in a range of leadership roles with diverse levels of experience. Sessions can be attended individually if you just want to focus on one area of leadership, or you can book into the full 6 sessions for the cost of 5.
Gowrie Victoria plans and delivers professional development to meet your needs based on extensive needs analysis, including feedback from early childhood education and care services. We often schedule additional professional development throughout the semester, to meet sector need, so you will always find the most up-to-date information online.
Customised Professional Development
We can tailor our learning options to meet the unique needs of your service. Professional Learning can be delivered at your service, a local venue or at one of our Gowrie Victoria locations. Visit our Customised Professional Development page to find out more.
Gowrie Victoria also delivers Professional Learning through online Webinars. Webinars are a 1 -2 hour snapshot of key learnings and offer convenience and flexibility for educators who can go online at their own service. Sessions delivered in this manner are clearly marked ‘Webinar’ in our Professional Learning Calendar and our Online Booking System.
Design Tours at Docklands Children’s Program
Our Children’s Program at Docklands is a purpose-designed and built collaboration between Gowrie Victoria, the City of Melbourne, Lend Lease and VicUrban. The environmentally sustainable design offers children unique and exciting learning spaces with large light-filled rooms, specially developed living gardens and outdoor play areas. Community building opportunities are gained through shared outdoor spaces, studios and a dining room.
Design tours provide participants with specific information regarding the innovative design and environmentally sustainable features of the centre. Each session includes a tour of the indoor and outdoor facilities and highlights of the architectural and building design aspects that promote and support sustainability and innovative practices.
Individuals and groups designing, renovating and/or building a family and children’s centre, and those interested in environmentally sustainable design.
Up to 10 participants: $200.00
11-20 participants: $260.00
