Gowrie Marshalltown Road Kindergarten is a free 3- and 4-year-old sessional kindergarten in the vibrant and culturally diverse Grovedale community, co-located on the grounds of Grovedale Primary School.

A strong foundation from day one. As a new service, our focus is on building secure, trusting relationships between children, families, and educators to create a genuine sense of belonging that every child carries with them as they grow.
The foundations for a seamless school transition. Co-located on the grounds of Grovedale Primary School, we are building transition programs that give children a confident, familiar start to Prep with the partnership of a school site right at our doorstep.
A community kindergarten with big dreams. We are committed to developing Out and About programs that connect children to the diverse community around them, and to building a kindergarten that families feel proud to be part of for years to come.

We are proud to offer free kindergarten to every family, with a passionate team dedicated to growing something truly special in Grovedale.

A Message From Our Team

Hello my name is Katherine (Kate) McNamara, and I am proud to be the Kindergarten Manager at our beautiful kindergarten in Grovedale. As a new service, we are excited to create a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child and family feels a genuine sense of belonging

We believe that strong relationships are at the heart of a positive kindergarten experience. Our dedicated team is committed to supporting children as they develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning through play-based experiences that celebrate each child’s unique strengths and interests.

We nurture environmentally responsible habits through gardening, recycling, composting, and nature-based learning experiences. By engaging in sustainable practices every day, children develop a deep connection to the natural world and learn how they can contribute to a healthier future for our community and planet.

Being located on the grounds of Grovedale Primary School provides wonderful opportunities for children to build familiarity with their future school environment and supports a positive transition to Prep. We are also passionate about connecting children and families with the wider community and creating meaningful experiences that help children thrive.
