It has been a busy start to the year for Gowrie as we officially welcomed families into our brand-new Minindee Road Kindergarten, co-located with Manor Lakes P-12 College in Manor Lakes.
It was a pleasure to welcome Minister for Children, The Hon Lizzie Blandthorn MP, along with Member for Werribee, John Lister MP, to officially open the kindergarten on 11 February.
Gowrie CEO Karen Weston, Kindergarten Manager Kirsti Condon and the Gowrie team were proud to showcase the new service as the ribbon was cut and guests toured the beautiful new facility, which is the first of three new services we have delivered in early 2026, reflecting our continued commitment to expanding access to high-quality early learning.

In our Manor Lakes community, the local response has been overwhelmingly positive. Kirsti Condon, Kindergarten Manager at Minindee Road Kindergarten, spoke about the joy in joining the community. “We have a kindergarten program which is buzzing with learning and excitement from children and also from our families who have shown a sense of excitement and pride to be a part of the Gowrie community,” says Kirsti.
Our new service will provide free sessional kindergarten programs for 3- and 4-year-olds, supported by the Department of Education’s Best Start, Best Life reforms. Our rooms are bright and spacious with state-of-the-art facilities, including large outdoor place spaces and opportunities to connect with Country.
We look forward to welcome more children and families to our growing Gowrie community!
