The Gowrie Learning Hub is a digital platform offering a broad range of modules and library of resources. This includes eLearning, practice videos, case studies and curated content drawn directly from our programs and services.
Six-part flagship courses available are the most requested topics of Understanding Children’s Behaviour, Trauma Informed Practice and Creating Engaging Learning Environments.
CoPs enable participants to reflect with their peers, share strategies and learning. These can be tailored to a service and focused on specific areas in a QIP for example, or you can also participate in CoPs on some of our flagship themes, working alongside those from different services.
Study tours at Gowrie services are an opportunity to observe professional practice and reflect on this with your team and coach. Designed as a half-day experience, tours include guided observation, reflection and coaching aligned to your focus areas, and the opportunity to translate theory into everyday practice back at your own service.
Coaching is designed to support growth by developing goals, identifying strategies and reflecting on the implementation with an experienced professional. Gowrie coaches are qualified coaches, and experienced early childhood professionals, based across regional and metropolitan Victoria. They bring a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges faced in services each day.
The role of a coach is to work alongside you to bring clarity, build confidence and strengthen practice. A coach will spend time getting to know you and your context, facilitate a process that helps clarify goals and then support you to develop practical strategies to achieve them. The process of working with a coach over several sessions (online or at the service) means being able to reflect as you implement strategies and being able to rely on their support as you do so and as new challenges emerge. It is a reflective and strengths-based process.
