Gowrie Broadmeadows Valley is located within the Broadmeadows Valley Learning Precinct. This provides opportunity for community building through close connections with the schools, maternal and child health services, parenting services and playgroups as well as the wider community.

We pride ourselves on ensuring that our practice and relationships celebrate our diverse and inclusive community. Our programs are in a range of languages including Turkish, Arabic and Assyrian.

We offer a range of services and programs. They provide rich learning experiences developed through a strength and interest-based approach. We view children as capable, competent co-contributors and acknowledge them as active participants in learning.

Gowrie Broadmeadows is a 194-place service that has achieved an Excellent rating in the National Quality Standards. We deliver and demonstrate high quality, responsive programs for children through:

wayipungitj (supporter) roles are an initiative funded by the Department of Education and Training (DET). Our wayipungitj, Sarah, works at Gowrie Broadmeadows Valley and a number of other kindergartens in the Hume and Merri-bek local government areas to engage and support Koorie children. Long day care is open from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 50 weeks of the year

Sessional Kindergarten (Group 1): Monday and Tuesday 9am – 3pm and Wednesday 8:30am – 11:30am
Sessional Kindergarten (Group 2): Wednesday 12:15pm – 3:15pm and Thursday and Friday 9am – 3pm
Sessional Kindergarten (Group 3): Monday and Tuesday 8:30am – 4pm

Sessional kindergarten: No charge

There is a two-day minimum enrolment to ensure consistency and a sense of belonging for children and families

Free kindergarten will be available for all three and four year old children enrolled at Gowrie Victoria sessional kindergarten programs. For children enrolled in our integrated kindergarten programs you will receive a kindergarten subsidy (approximately $2101) that will offset the kindergarten program component of your out-of-pocket fees, this will be applied directly to your account in instalments over the year.

Some families are entitled to the Child Care Subsidy from the Commonwealth Government. The Child Care Subsidy will be paid directly to childcare services to be passed on to families as a fee reduction. Families will make a co-contribution to their childcare fees and pay to the childcare service the difference between the fee charged and the subsidy amount. The amount that can be claimed is dependent on the family’s income and level of activity. For more information visit: www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/child-care-subsidy

Fees include the provision of nutritional morning and afternoon tea, breakfast, lunch, and a late snack.

Gowrie accepts enrolment requests at any time of the year. Once we have determined the booking request for your child and a place becomes available, you will be emailed a letter of offer.

If you require childcare immediately and a place is available, we will be happy to offer you that place.

To ensure a fair, equitable and transparent process, Gowrie Victoria follows the Commonwealth Government Priority of Access Guidelines:

The  National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect on the 1 January 2012. This involved the introduction and implementation of the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), the Education and Care Services National Law Act (2010,) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) (2011). Children’s education and care services covered under the Education and Care Services National Law are assessed and rated against the NQS. This important reform will deliver a higher standard of care for children in the critical areas of education, health and safety and will provide clear and comprehensive information for families so they can choose the best services for their child. The National Quality Standards (NQS) are linked to the National Early Years Learning Framework (2009) which recognises that children learn from birth. The process reflects a uniform approach to assessment and reporting across the range of service settings. Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority undertakes the assessment and rating process. It is also the point of contact for any questions services may have about the assessment and rating process. For more information on the new National Quality Standard, see www.acecqa.gov.au The Gowrie Broadmeadows Valley Children’s Program received an Excellent rating in July 2019 and again in October 2022.

The Victorian government is progressing three interrelated reforms that are integral to reducing family violence and promoting child wellbeing or safety. From April 2021, additional organisations and services were prescribed under all three reforms, which includes early childhood education and care services.
