Celebrations have continued at Gowrie as we officially opened and welcomed children and their families to our new Oberon Kindergarten, co-located with Oberon Primary School in Belmont, Geelong.
It was a pleasure to again welcome Minister Lizzie Blandthorn, alongside the Member for Geelong, Christine Couzens MP, to open Oberon Kindergarten on 26 February.
The opening comes shortly after our new Minindee Road Kindergarten in Manor Lakes was officially opened by Minister Blandthorn, along with Member for Werribee John Lister MP.

This opening represents an historic moment for our organisation, marking our first expansion beyond metropolitan Melbourne. Kindergarten Manager, Sam Hardy is proud to lead a very professional team, “We have a team local to the Belmont community who are incredibly enthusiastic,” says Sam. “Our rooms are set up, and we are ready to go.”
Our Marshalltown Road Kindergarten, co-located with Grovedale Primary School, is also now open. Kindergarten Manager Kate McNamara and her team are looking forward to meeting children and families. “We really look forward to seeing you, and meeting you, and helping you become a part of our community. That’s what gives me a lot of joy.”
Our new services will provide free sessional kindergarten programs for 3- and 4-year-olds, supported by the Department of Education’s Best Start, Best Life reforms. Our rooms are bright and spacious with state-of-the-art facilities, including large outdoor play spaces and opportunities to connect with Country.
We look forward to welcome more children and families to our growing Gowrie community!
