Gowrie offers four coaching programs which can be tailored to suit your budget:
Executive Manager of Adult Learning, Glyn Williams, explains that programs are designed as in-depth professional support for early childhood teachers and educators. ‘Gowrie’s SRF Coaching Programs offer a unique opportunity for teachers and educators to reflect deeply on their practice and to identify those areas they wish to focus on and develop further,’ he explains. ‘Coaching can be tailored towards the needs of the individual or the team, supporting educators to reflect on their practice, identifying their strengths and areas for growth, and supporting them to implement strategies to achieve their goals.’
Coaching programs are designed based on the two-year SRF planning cycle with coaching sessions delivered across Terms 1 to 4 over a two-year period. Each Program includes in-person coaching sessions with individuals and teams, online coaching sessions, and access to Gowrie’s Learning Hub. Many of the programs also include whole team workshops and a study tour at one of Gowrie’s six Early Learning services.
‘We are excited to share our Learning Hub, which will launch in March,’ says Adult Learning Program Manager, Simone. ‘As well as learning content filmed with Gowrie educators, the hub will provide opportunities for connection with other educators through facilitated Communities of Practice, Learning networks and online discussion groups,’ she explains.
Feedback from current and former participants has been positive. One educator shared, ‘The feedback assisted us to identify opportunities to enhance further as well as develop specific skills in planning through a targeted workshop for all of our staff.’
The coaching programs are delivered by a team of experienced early childhood professionals who are based in a range of locations across Victoria including Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat, Cobram, Mildura and Melbourne.
