Do you know someone looking for a rewarding new career? Someone looking to earn while they learn?

Recruitments are still open for the next intake of Cert III Early Childhood Educator traineeships, to start in February 2023.

The traineeship program means working alongside experienced educators (at either Gowrie Victoria or an external service), learning on the job, and earning at the same time. Trainees attend a Gowrie class once a week to complete their qualification, while working at an early learning service close to home the other four days.

Gowrie Carlton North trainee Jacob is nearing the end of his traineeship and says he always knew he wanted to work with children. “My mum is a teacher, my older sister is a school principal, and my younger sister works in special needs,” Jacob says.

The flexibility of being able to learn, while earning his qualification, is just one of the benefits of the program for Jacob. “I love working with the children, the people are great and I’m finding it a lot of fun,” he says.
