The Victorian Advancing Early Learning Study (VAEL) was a three-year research study led by the University of Melbourne. The aim of the study was to develop, test and evaluate the effectiveness of a professional learning program on the quality of educator-child interactions in early childhood education and care settings, where Educational Leaders and educators were trained and coached in the use of evidence-based teaching strategies.
