The children at our Carlton North service reflected on Reconciliation Week with a range of creative activities.

The children made the flags and talked about the meanings behind the colours and images.

We also learned about Tracey Moffatt, she is a famous aboriginal woman. She is one of Australia’s most successful artists internationally. The children loved her photos and were inspired by them.

They took some of their own photos and decorated them with some chalk board pens.

This year the children have shown a lot of interest in the aboriginal symbols. We play games with them, the children enjoy drawing them and some have made their own stories using the symbols.
