If you are interested in setting up an intergenerational program between your Early Learning service and an Aged Care service in your community, we are running an Open Door session on 26 June 2019 that will focus on the things you should consider before starting an intergenerational program.
On Saturday the Herald Sun ran a story on the Intergenerational Programs at our Carlton North, Clare Court and Broadmeadows Early Learning Centres. Each centre has connected with an Aged Care service in their community and the children go on regular visits to play games, read stories, and sing with the residents. Read the full article below!
Gracie Munari and Kelly Sweeting presented the amazing benefits of the intergenerational program at the recent 2019 Early Education Conference, and they shared many of the unexpected, heartfelt moments they have experienced when the children are interacting with the residents.
The upcoming Open Door session will be presented by Kelly Sweeting and runs from 5.30pm – 7.30pm at our Docklands Early Learning Centre. The session costs $65 per person.
